Percentile norms sourced from the Cooper Institute's Aerobics Center Longitudinal Study — the same dataset behind ACSM Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription, 11th edition, Table 4.7. Results in ml/kg/min with age- and sex-adjusted percentile and fitness category (Poor / Fair / Average / Good / Excellent / Superior).
